2007 Biggest CNG station in Europe has opened

It is March 2006 and the world will change forever, that is, for the people in Bulgaria. For in Samokov, an 1 hour drive from Sofia, a project has started for building the largest dedicated CNG station in Europe.

The companies behind the station are Samel90 and Gas Systems Holland. Gas Systems Holland is an cooperation of two Dutch companies, including Teesing Systems BV and Technisch Ingenieursbureau E.Meurs BV. Samel90 would be responsible for the local installation of the station and GSH would provide the core components and shared expertise and experience in realising this CNG dedicated station. The station will be the biggest CNG dedicated station in Europe. It will have:

•   2x 800 Nm³/h compressors
•   2 double hose dispensers for cars
•   4 double hose dispensers for busses and trucks
•   Vehicle conversion workshop

It will not only be used by cars and trucks for filling their tanks, but it will also be a distributing point for hotels and other establishments. With portable buffer racks they can use the CNG for day to day use. The station is divided in two separate parts. On one side of the station the lighter vehicles can refuel and the heavy duty vehicles can refuel on the other side.

The station will have an enormous positive impact on the environment. The grand opening of this large CNG station is this Thursday on October the 18th 2007.
